A timeless lead vocal and admirable dedication to her goal is what Lara Gatling has to offer. Lara taught herself to play the guitar and then started writing her own music. She has been creating her folk/rock sound since moving from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, in 2001, to Los Angeles.
Now, her passion and energy draw the crowds in places such as The Roxy, The Whiskey, and The Cat Club on the world famous Sunset Strip. Opening up twice for one of her music icons, Beth Hart, gave her even more of a fan base and inspired her to continue moving forward.
A few of Lara's influences are Brandi Carlile, Ray LaMontagne, Stevie Nicks, Neil Young and Sheryl Crow.
Lara is planning a tour to promote her 2009 debut album, “One By One”.
