Val Halla will be embarking on an American national tour this summer, opening up for legendary rocker and guitarist Ted Nugent on his "Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead Tour 2010". She will be promoting the brand new release of her album "No Place".
The tour will kick off in Boston, MA on June 16th at the House of Blues. Val Halla will play 26 dates with Uncle Ted, performing up until August 8th with him.
After the tour with Ted Nugent, Val Halla will embark on an all Texas tour from August 9th to September 5th. What for updates as August Texas dates are still yet to come!
Because Val Halla is a completely independent artist, with no Record Label support WHAT SO EVER, she is receiving no tour support to make this happen. There are hard costs associated with touring, and when on an opening spot like this for a well known artist, the "budget" for the opener usually won't even cover the cost of gasoline to get from venue to venue.
Ted Nugent himself is so passionate about making sure Val Halla is the opening act though, that he will personally sign an Acoustic guitar or a Telecaster electric both made by Main Street Guitars in Fort Worth, TX for anyone who would like to sponsor Val's touring with a $500 or $1,000 contribution.
Any amount you are able to help support Val Halla with though is most appreciated and crucial to her being able to complete this tour! This is GREAT exsposure for an independent artist, and could be what gives Val the chance to make this a career for the rest of her life!
Thanks in advance for those who are giving their support, have given, and continue to give! It's harder now more than ever to be a working musician, but with your help we can keep the music coming, and keep the dream alive!

When Val Halla was only 12 years old she purchased her first guitar magazine. At the time Val had just started learning songs of the 90’s grunge movement, playing on an old nylon string classical guitar her grandfather had given to her mother. After a few years of lessons focusing on grunge and rock n roll, Val’s guitar teacher was finally able to persuade her parents to buy her an electric guitar.
“All I was playing was Nirvana and Classic Rock.” says Halla, now 25. “My guitar teacher saw how I was struggling with this thick fretboard on the nylon string with my tiny hands, trying to play Aneurysm, and just couldn’t stand to watch it anymore.”
Thanks to Halla’s childhood guitar teacher, she soon discovered the joys of overdriven guitar tones and new sonic and technical landscapes she had never before dreamed of.
Now an endorsing artist for both Mack Amps (www.mackamps.com) and Carparelli Guitars (www.carparelliguitars.com), she has found a unique style and sound all her own, and is making big waves in the guitar and music communities alike.
Val Halla’s song “The Bad Girl Touch” was featured and reviewed in the November 2009 issue of Guitar Player magazine by the Editor in Chief himself, Michael Molenda. Molenda made note of Halla’s “seductive singing and coy lyrics” in addition to a positive review of her playing abilities. Only a few weeks later Halla was contacted by Guitar World Magazine to be featured in their 2009 Holiday Buyer’s Guide.
